On May 1st, Elisabeth Marie Myhre will start as Head of People and Brand, which encompasses responsibility for marketing, communication, corporate social responsibility, brand building, culture, leadership development, and HR.

"The key to Vipps and MobilePay’s strong brands is primarily our culture and the fantastic people. Our culture is based on strong values that provide clear direction on how we work together to create new meaningful simplifications for our nearly 12 million users in the Nordic region. Elisabeth is a leadership star of the rare kind that we need to further develop the strong culture and reach our very ambitious goals," says Vipps MobilePay CEO Rune Garborg.

Myhre brings highly relevant experience from Foodora Norway, where she has led the company through extreme growth since 2019. In addition, she has valuable experience from investments in early-stage technology companies, insights work, and strategy.

"Elisabeth is not a typical HR or marketing and communications leader, but we already have the best in the industry there. What Myhre will help Vipps MobilePay with is to make our culture an even more important part of how we succeed both commercially and financially in a time when we as a company are set to achieve very ambitious goals," says Garborg.

Myhre looks forward to taking on new tasks at Vipps MobilePay.

"Vipps MobilePay is the perfect blend of talented people, sky-high ambitions, and unique technology, with plenty of exciting opportunities. I look forward to contributing to taking the company to new heights, and above all, I look forward to working with the entire fantastic Vipps MobilePay team," says Myhre.

To prepare the company for further growth, there will be changes in Vipps MobilePay's management team, and two management group roles will be merged into one under Myhre's leadership.

The current Head of People and Organisation, Mette Godsk Jensen, has decided to pursue new opportunities after the summer.

Mette has contributed significantly to unifying Vipps’ and MobilePay’s people and culture following our merger. Always putting the people that work here first. I want to thank her for all the great work she has done for Vipps MobilePay,” says Rune Garborg.
