Vipps MobilePay launches new wish list feature
Vipps MobilePay users can now create and share wish lists within the app – simplifying the gifting experience just in time for the holiday season.
Today, Vipps MobilePay announces the launch of a new wish list feature, available to all 12 million users across the Nordic countries. This latest addition to the Vipps MobilePay family will allow users to create and share wish lists directly in the app, making gift planning simpler and more collaborative.
No duplicate gifts
Whether users are in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, or Finland, they can create their lists, share with friends and family across borders, and rest easy knowing there won’t be duplicate gifts. This is made possible by the feature of reserving gifts on the lists. The wish list feature is free to use and accessible under the ”Me” section of the app.
“We’re thrilled to launch wish list across the Nordic region, just in time for the festive season,” says Rune Garborg, CEO of Vipps MobilePay. “This feature has been a long-standing wish of ours, and we’re excited to make gift-giving easier and more enjoyable for our users. With wish list, we’re enabling a smarter way to plan, share, and give, turning gifting into a fun and straightforward experience.”

Accessible and Private
As gifting season approaches, Vipps MobilePay is also exploring ways to connect wish list users with relevant gift ideas, helping shoppers feel more confident in their choices.
“We know that gift-giving can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you’re unsure what the other person really wants,” Garborg adds. “With this new feature, Vipps MobilePay takes the guesswork out of gifting, letting users express their wishes clearly, while giving friends and family the joy of fulfilling them. And with the opportunity to reserve gifts, we’re eliminating duplicates and making each gift count.”
Wish List items are visible only to the list creator and those they choose to share with, so surprises are safe, and privacy remains intact. Additionally, the app’s reservation functionality offers peace of mind by preventing duplicate gifts without revealing what’s already been claimed.
