Klarna payments in Vipps and MobilePay app! πŸ§‘πŸ’™

Vipps MobilePay aims to be the most loved wallet in the Nordics. That means offering the most loved ways to pay, and for the Nordic users, Klarna is now one of them! Soon, users can connect their Klarna accounts to Vipps and MobilePay, and get access to Klarna’s popular and flexible payment methods right in their Vipps/MobilePay app.

Launch Soon, we plan to enable Klarna in Vipps Mobilepay, across all our markets and all relevant Vipps MobilePay products, including VM Checkout.

Which products will support Klarna? Klarna will be available for one-time payments through the ePayments, Checkout and Passthrough APIs, which on the product level mean: Vipps Checkout & Payment Integration (online/e-com), Cash-registers (in-store) and PSP solutions.

What’s in it for you and your merchants?

  • One agreement with Vipps MobilePay is all you need
  • One settlement, no matter how the user chooses to pay

Express

The one-click-buy button is live!

It’s no secret nor a new thing that a quick online buying process decreases the number of drop-offs during checkout, and by doing that, it increases the conversion rate of an online store. A known and well-proven way to do that is an Express that can decrease the time spent on a purchase to half and lead to 30% higher conversion rate.

Express as a concept is no stranger for Vipps MobilePay either. There has been a product called Vipps Hurtigkasse already out in the Norwegian market for several years, but now this product is live in all our countries. We are now LIVE launching a whole newΒ ExpressΒ built on top of our cross-NordicΒ ePayment API. By doing that we all will get to enjoy quicker buying processes also in Denmark, Finland and Sweden.Β πŸš€

Partner portal updates

Create Your Own Product Order Templates

We’re excited to share that you now can make your own Product Order Templates on the partner portal!Β πŸŽ‰

This tool allows you to create customized links to our product order page in the merchant portal. Product order templates make it much easier for merchants to order Vipps MobilePay products correctly, with you as partner and with the correct price - and other details. It speeds up the onboarding process and has a 3X higher completion rate than manually ordering from scratch. Links can be distributed to merchants through your website or by email/SMS, and when clicked, they take the merchant to the product order form with specific fields pre-filled or locked, like eg. partner name and price.

Think of it as a simple, no-API way to provide a streamlined and tailored experience for your merchants, reducing hassle and errors. πŸ’‘

Early Access: Payment Insights

We’ve decided to give partners early access to payment insights in the partner portal. This feature lets you view essential data including success rate, transaction volume, and performance across all your sales units. You can easily spot both top and underperforming units, helping you improve quality, conversion, and user experience.

This is a work in progress, but already provides valuable insights.
