Spring is here – and so are some exciting updates from us! 🌸
We’ve been busy rolling out new tools, features, and products to help you and your customers succeed. From launching our MobilePay mPOS in Finland to supercharging online sales with Express Checkout. We’re also introducing automatic card updates to keep recurring payments flowing and proudly unveiling our Partner Portal to make your work even easier.

Say Goodbye to Expired Cards 👋
Starting in April, we’ll automatically update our users’ bank cards before the cards expire. For your customers that offer payment agreements with Vipps, this is very, very good news: Now they won’t lose customers who “forgot to enter their new card details”. For the customers who don’t use payment agreements, they should try it – so they can say goodbye to abandoned shopping carts, deactivated subscriptions and customers who disappear with their old card. Automatically updated bank cards will first be available in Norway, and then in Denmark and Finland.
Industries offering reccurring payment agreements through Vipps include media, charity, parking, streaming services (including audio), scooters, fitness, and insurance will really benefit from this!


Say Hello to MobilePay mPOS – Now Live in Finland! 🇫🇮📲
On April 1st, we launched MobilePay Mobile Point-Of-Sale solution in Finland, introducing a seamless way for merchants to turn their smartphone into a payment terminal in just seconds. The solution is powered by a separate app, now available for Finnish merchants to download. With ourmPOS, merchants can accept payments from anyone using either the Vipps MobilePay app or Visa/MasterCard debit or credit cards.
Norway and Denmark launches will follow later as we continue our journey to become a full 360-degree payment service provider. 🚀


Quicker Checkouts, Higher Conversions 🔥
It’s no secret nor a new thing that a quick online buying process decreases the number of drop-offs during checkout, and by doing that, it increases the conversion rate of an online store. A known and well-proven way to do that is an Express Checkout that can decrease the time spent on a purchase to half and lead to 30% higher conversion rate. 💨
Express Checkout as a concept is no stranger for Vipps MobilePay either. There has been a product called "Vipps Hurtigkasse" already out in the Norwegian market for several years, but luckily soon this will be available in all our countries. In April 2025 we are launching a whole new Vipps MobilePay Express built on top of our cross-Nordic ePayment API. By doing that we all will get to enjoy quicker buying processes also in Denmark, Finland and Sweden. 🚀

The Partner Portal is here! 🎉
The wait is over as we have launched the much-wanted new tool for our prestigious partners. The first version of the Partner Portal was released just before Christmas and is now live and kicking with first partners onboarded successfully. As this is the very first version of the Portal, we’re definitely not ready with everything yet but we’re happy to bring this new tool for all of you to use.
Right now, there are similar functions available as what we have in our Management API. You can for example see the list of all your merchants’ sales units or get status updates about open product orders that are linked to you as a partner. More features to come!
Feel free to sign-up and start using the portal. We are also more than happy to hear all the feedback and recommendations of what to prioritize next in the development.
